Half the fat and twice the meat?

Subway advertises that their sandwiches have "half the fat" and "twice the meat" as a McDonald's Big Mac. But they are not being totally honest. For the "half the fat" claim, a 6" turkey sub without condiments is compared to a Big Mac with condiments. It's the condiments that make the difference. A 6" Subway turkey sub without condiments has about the same fat as a Big Mac without condiments.

For the "twice the meat" claim they compare a 12" turkey sub to a Big Mac. But 6" sub is closer to the price of a Big Mac and the 6" sub has about the same amount of meat as a Big Mac.

So, the truth is that Subway's sandwiches have about the same fat as a Big Mac and about the same amount of meat as a Big Mac. That doesn't sound like a good slogan for a commercial, does it?
